Spam.

Cinema fans at Macao were given the opportunity of attending a talkies performance at the Victoria Cinematograph to-day, for the first time.
Tbis theatre has been recently fitted with talkies’ equipment as a temporary measure until the construction of the Carlton Theatre by the Hong Kong Amusements Ltd. The Victoria Cinematograph is connected with the Hongkong company, the management of the latter company considering it desirable to provide their patrons with talking pictures until arrangements are concluded for the building of the Carlton Theatre,an expensive piece of land for the construction of which was acquired last year.
The heavy booking for the picture and the crowded houses are striking testimony to the fact that the public at Macao are keenly interested in this new contribution to the amenities of the Colony.
